Sanguino – when more power is needed

Standard Arduino comes with Atmega328 chip. It isn’t the top notch microcontroller when speaking of number of I/Os or Flash memory. You could go with mega version when real power is needed. But fact is that mega might be too much or simply too expensive. In that case consider Sanguino. It is an Atmega644 based Arduino board assembled on custom board and its cost in parts is about $8. Atmega644 has more pins and twice Flash memory than Atmega328. The schematic was originally copied from real sanguino so only a soldering has to be done. There is a full support for Sanguino – all you have is to copy some files that makes it available. If you need more power and still need DIP packages Sanguino is right choice. Continue reading

Be a brewer with this amazing BrewTroller

Are you dreaming about brewing beer at home. No problem with that, you just have to control many parameters during brewing like temperature, ingredients. Everything has to be done precisely in order to end up with great drink. This is why BrewTroller was developed, which automates most of brewing process including heating, pumps and valves. BrewTroller is based on Sanguino (aka Arduino) platform, while project itself is completely open source. Author continues to improve platform and seems that next version is coming up with USB support. Happy brewing! Continue reading

Feel The Differences of The Sanguino Today!

You’re a home hobbyist that loves to spend most of the time developing cool and creative electronic stuffs? However, you still wish to create a super Arduino board that has many awesome features on a single board? Well, congratulation as you’ll try to learn to develop the Sanguino board today! Ok, first thing first, the meaning of “Sanguino” is a red and fun microcontroller board, which is based on the ATmega644P. If you’re already bored of the Arduino or wiring board, where the latter one can be costly indeed, then you can test your talent by simply design your very own Sanguino board! Since the Sanguino development project is only requires the Arduino software and it’s all in the open source, thus you won’t have any problem creating your own… Continue reading
