Network enabled Arduino VFD clock

Pyrofer wanted to build a clock that would fit his needs. He wanted that it would adjust time and daylight savings automatically and could be customizable. So he grabbed Arduino, 14 character VFD display which he scavenged from old fruit machine. Attached WizNet5100 network adapter board and additionally placed Dallas 1-wire temperature sensor.

He configured network to be DHCP so no additional configurations wouldn’t be needed. Clock sets itself via NTP so no buttons are required. It sets adjust itself every 24 hours. He created a webpage where he could monitor time, temperature and probably other future parameters like humidity. Having data stream via HTTP and SNTP there is no problem to log and graph data over time. All is needed now – a proper enclosure.
