M8 Clock: An AVR Based Time Keeper in a Can

Can you still remember the joys and thrills of showing off your first AVR project? digi01 is doing just that, he shared us some build details and pictures of his M8 Clock. He was not the one who coded the firmware for the project but he actually implemented a test board to debug and load the program to the microcontroller through an RS232 port.

The M8 Clock’s display is made up of four 7 – segment displays, the time is set using three pushbuttons  while the entire circuit including the battery is elegantly housed in a lidded tin can – a true blue time keeping tin can.
