Honey bee hive temperature logger

Max is a member of bee-keeping club and so he decided to make a temperature logger of hive. This is a 12 channel temperature logger which measures temperature from different places of hive. Temperature data gives interesting data about bee movement over the time inside hive.

Logger is built using Arduino Mega. Temperature values are measured using waterproof DS18B20 sensors. Temperature data is logged in to SD card. Another interesting feature is a solar panel which powers Arduino on sunny days but there is also a Lithium ion battery along with charger to keep things going on rainy days. Project budget seems to be too high for such purpose ~$328. There could be many ways to cut expenses and reach same result, but overall this looks great and useful project. Additionally there would be interesting to see some data and interpretation.
