Arduino based MP3 player box

MP3 is never dying popular music format and all players and media devices generally support it. If you wish to have something unique, you can also build MP3 player for widely available parts like Arduino and decoder chip like VS1002d or other. Jose Herrera have put together MP3 box which is build out of all same standard building blocks – Arduino, LCD and VS1002d based MP3 module which also carries audio jack and microphone input. It can be interfaced via SPI connection.

Songs are loaded to SD card – Arduino accesses it through SD module. Audio is amplified on small amplifier. Two small speakers are integrated in to box which is made of wood and looks somewhat retro. The project is also ready to accept different MP3 shields like SparkFun MP3 shield – only few minor wiring has to be changed.
